(Video) @JAYnFRESH – “Cat’n Off” (Explicit)

My homies JAYnFRESH finally drop the long awaited visual for their single “Cat’n Off”.
This record is one for the clubs, so turn up!

(Video) @CALEBORATE – “Anna’s Lament” (Explicit)

I, legit, think I found a new artist to watch for.
This cat’s name is Caleborate, and his Twitter claims that he hails from Sacramento/Berkeley.
Either, I’m proud to post this joint on my blog today. This record is Hip Hop to the core.
I don’t even really wanna talk about it anymore. I’m just gonna turn my speakers up and bump it some more.
Your turn.

(Audio) @PlusMoney x @KrisKasanova – “Skatin'” (Explicit)

Sacramento native C Plus teams up New York emcee Kris Kasanova for this infectious boom bap record, “Skatin'”.
C Plus has always been a well-rounded artist, digging into instrumentals that would normally be out-of-the-ordinary for an artist who came up being known as a backpack emcee. However, for Plus, it seems like there’s no such thing as a record that’s out of his element.
This ones for the heads! Peep the record after the jump.

(Video) @KirkKnight & @DyemondLewis of Pro Era – “Extortion” (Explicit)

The Beast Coast hits the web with yet another dope visual from Pro Era‘s Scion A/V-sponsored FreEP, The Shift. This one comes from Kirk Knight and Dyemond Lewis.
This record sits in the lower BPM’s with a feel that just makes somebody want to punch a wall in a dark room, and then pour alcohol over the wound.
Yeah. It’s gritty like that.
Peep the video, and see if anybody does it.

(Audio) @wizkhalifa – “Stayin’ Out All Night” (Explicit)

The spearhead of the infamous Taylor Gang, Wiz Khalifa has released another sneak peek at the upcoming Blacc Hollywood project.
Now, I’m gonna get real on this one.
I have been a Wiz fan for quite some time. Kush & Orange Juice is still the tape I slap in my car every Summer, all Summer long.
When Rolling Papers came out, needless to say, I was less than enthused. The album was nothing like the Pittsburgh representative’s signature sound that he’d worked so hard to put out. The uniqueness in all the records was incredible.
Upon opening this record, I’d go as far as to say that Wiz has found his sound all over again.
Check it out below, and let us know what you think in the comments.

(Audio) @BIGVON – “Windows (feat. @KeakDaSneak, @theJacka, & @MickeyShiloh)”

This record had been hot on the streets for quite some time, but it’s finally touching down on the main market.
The Bay Area’s very own Big Von brings together legends of the bay Keak Da Sneak and The Jacka to drop bars over the infectious sounds of this heater from Traxamillion. As if matters couldn’t get better… A hook from hit writer Mickey Shiloh?!
Yeah, Von. You win.

(Audio) @RU_AREYOU – “M O B”

Okay. I know I just posted a Ru record not too long ago, but my goodness…
I can’t seem to get over this record. Maybe it’s the 2Pac sample. Maybe it’s the driving drums. Maybe it’s the laid back chords.
To be honest, I don’t wanna decide what it is. I’m just enjoying the #%*$ out of this joint.

(Audio) Usher – “She Came To Give It To You (feat. Nicki Minaj)” (Explicit)

To be quite honest, I’m entirely sure how comfortable I am with the fact that this is the second single Usher has released, in which he speaks of marijuana. Is it a gimmick type thing, or…?
Anywho, this new Rick James inspired record definitely brings a feel that has been missing in the soul singer’s records in the past few years. In my opinion, this is the perfect follow up to “Good Kisser”.  Any takers? Holler at me in the comments.

(Audio) @DJASAP3x – “Like That (feat. @SageTheGemini, @OfficialBaeza, @TheRealSymba, @THEKIDRYAN, & @MILLAMUSIC)” (Explicit)

Yes: The lineup for this record took me forever to type, and yes: You have definitely been hearing this record in the #NEWATNINE for quite some time. However, it was imperative that I get this record on my blog, whilst playing a little game of catch-up.
Young California’s DJ ASAP is much more than a DJ who arranged a track to get recognition… Manz also did his own production for the record! So, yeah… There much more than meets the title with this fella.
ASAP played his cards very correctly in this record, opening up with HBK‘s Sage The Gemini, and immediately jumping into an infectious hook from Fresno’s The Kid Ryan (TKR). Peep the record below, and let us know what you think in the comments.

(Audio) @RU_AREYOU – “Aeon”

Sacramento native Ru (AREYOU) takes again to his Future-Electronic niche with “Aeon”. After a long hiatus–taken to tour with America’s Best Dance Crew Champions Quest Crew–Ru returns to electronic music scene with nothing short of a turn up! The sound that he’s been attacking within the past year has been in the lower BPM range, so it makes for either a turnt banger record, or a chill melody driven ambient record. “Aeon” plays the role of both ends to its fullest extent.
Opening up this record, I wasn’t sure what to expect.
Ru never seems to miss out on an opportunity to drop some interesting artwork, and this release was no exception.
Upon pressing play, though, I was a little skeptical at first–to be honest.
The initial feel is almost that of a waltz, and I didn’t know how to take that, nor had I any idea of what it would lead to.
Immediately after that–well… I’ll leave that to you. Turn up.
