The long awaited first single from Kendrick Lamar‘s upcoming album has finally touched down.
Sampling the Isley Brothers’ hit record “Who’s That Lady”, the record gives a joyous sound that makes one feel like hittin’ the switches on a lowrider with the top down.

Many of the comments along the SoundCloud panel seem to be mixed in emotions; some loving the record, others feeling it was overhyped.
My personal opinion? King Kendrick came back with force. As a music fan, I’ve been waiting for a good record like this.
The last time a record gave off a rather similar feel, it was Nas & Will.I.Am’s collaborative effort on “Hip Hop Is Dead”.
Not only does this new drop K.Dot prove to me that Hip Hop isn’t dead, I’m even more looking forward to the release of his sophomore album, in its entirety.

I shall now take this moment to write a letter to Dr. Dre.

Dear Dre Day;
You can now keep Detox to yourself.
Just please give us more Kendrick.
Thank you.

Peace, Love, & ReBlogs;
